for now - a quick note and some pics of our Summer Rental -

Taz and Rusty have been rented from Naughty Goat Animal Sanctuary in the hopes they will assist us in getting our weeds back under control. This is a rental with the option to adopt. This is perfect as we can see what being a goat owner is all about and be sure we are ready for the work involved. (Someone should do a similar system for husbands and kids!!!)
At first I thought we were perhaps not goat worthy as the lady from the animal sanctuary came by looked the place over talked with us, then did not return my emails. I was bummed - imagine us, not goat worthy!! Then I decided to give it one last try and call - she finally called me back and delivered the goats today! They are part pygmy goat so should not get very big. They were born in April so might still grow a bit. They are shy as they have not had very much human contact - we will give it time and see if they warm up to us.
If the goats work out - my next thought is chickens - free eggs for everyone!!
